One of my favorites, Rod McKuen died today.
If you see one of his vinyl records at a flea market or second hand store, pick it up and listen to it...a lot.
I found a copy of 'The Earth' LP at an antique store years ago and never having heard of Rod McKuen before, I bought it based on the cover and the year it was made (1967) - i instantly loved it and thought that it embodied a beguiling gentleness and mystique that was difficult to identify.
